Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping at desapega.nl. We want you to be happy with your purchase. However, as a small business, we have a strict return policy. Please read it carefully.

For certain products purchased via our website, you have the legal right to cancel and return your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason. The 14‑day period starts on the day you (or a third party designated by you) receive the item.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by contacting us at [email protected] within 14 days.

Exceptions: when the 14‑day right does not apply

The legal 14‑day right of withdrawal does not apply to all products. In particular, you cannot cancel or return the following items simply because you changed your mind:

- Perishable goods: All food and drink items and other products that can spoil or have a limited shelf life.

- Health and personal care items: Any item with a hygiene seal that has been opened after delivery (e.g., cosmetics, soaps, lotions).

- Custom or personalised items: Products made to your specifications, where applicable.

For these categories, orders are final and cannot be returned unless the product is defective, damaged, or not as described.

Conditions for returns (eligible products only)

For products where the 14‑day right of withdrawal does apply, your item must meet all of the following conditions to be eligible for a return:

- It is in the exact same condition as received: unopened, unused, and with all original tags and seals intact.

- It is in its original, undamaged packaging.

- You can provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

We may refuse a return or reduce the refund if the product has been used, damaged, or handled more than necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning.

Return shipping costs

Unless the product is defective, damaged, or incorrect, you are responsible for all shipping costs to return your item. Return shipping costs are non‑refundable.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

Items on sale and discount codes

Items marked as “Sale” or purchased with a discount code can only be returned if and insofar as the legal right of withdrawal applies to that type of product (i.e., non‑perishable, non‑hygiene‑sensitive items). For perishable food and other excluded items, sale purchases are final.

How to start a return

To start a return for an eligible product:

  1. Email [email protected] within 14 days of receiving your order and include your order number and the reason for the return.

  2. If your return is accepted, we will send you detailed instructions and the return address.

Do not send items back to us without prior approval. Items sent without approval will not be accepted or refunded.

Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If you receive a defective, damaged, or incorrect item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Email [email protected] with your order number and clear photos of:

- The item,

- The defect or damage, and

- The outer packaging.

If we confirm the problem, we will arrange a replacement or refund. In these cases, we will cover any reasonable return shipping costs.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you by email whether your refund is approved or rejected.

If approved, we will refund:

- The purchase price of the returned item(s), and

- The original standard delivery costs (if applicable and required by law for eligible withdrawals).

Return shipping costs (for change‑of‑mind returns) are borne by you and are not refunded. Refunds are processed to your original method of payment. Please allow up to 14 business days after we receive your return for the refund to be processed; your bank or card issuer may need additional time to post the refund.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you want a different item, please follow the return process (if your product is eligible) and place a new order via our website.
